Purchasing Clerk Job Overview:
As a Purchasing Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process within our organization.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with flexible hours available: 8:30 AM - 5 PM, 7 AM - 3:30 PM, or 8 AM - 4 PM.

Compensation:
Competitive pay ranging from $22 to $24 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide essential administrative and clerical assistance to the purchasing department.
  • Prepare and type various documents, including reports and memoranda.
  • Conduct research on suppliers, gathering pricing, specifications, and relevant data regarding products and services.
  • Manage vendor interactions to ensure alignment with production requirements.
  • Generate and process purchase orders based on inventory assessments or specific requests.
  • Oversee and monitor the status of incoming orders.
  • Facilitate communication between departments regarding the status of incoming materials.
  • Assist in reconciling inventory counts for materials.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP system (Syspro).
  • Support the purchasing manager with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially spreadsheet software and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Previous experience in supply chain or procurement is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clerical support position within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift operation experience or certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
