Position Overview:

As a Lead Pharmacist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our pharmacy operations. You will work in partnership with the Pharmacy In-Charge (PIC) and other team members to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical services to our clientele. Your role will involve various facets of pharmacy management and patient care.

Scope of Supervision: Pharmacy Technicians

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborative
Goal Setting:
Collaborate closely with the PIC to set and track pharmacy objectives, ensuring consistent progress and reporting.

Business Development:

Assist in the formulation and execution of initiatives aimed at pharmacy growth.

Financial Management:

Provide insights on pharmacy financials and budget oversight.

Operational Excellence:

Supervise internal pharmacy processes and operations to uphold high service standards.

Customer-Focused Approach:

Ensure our pharmacy team is accountable for decisions that affect our customers.

Team Collaboration:

Hold regular meetings with pharmacy staff to promote teamwork and achieve goals.

Effective Communication:

Foster open communication with all pharmacy staff members, encouraging their input and collaboration.

Continuous Improvement:

Work with practitioners to refine organizational processes and enhance patient outcomes.

Regulatory Adherence:

Guarantee ongoing compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards while implementing best practices.

Delegation:

Assign responsibilities as necessary to ensure timely and accurate pharmacy operations.

Pharmacist Duties:

Execute standard pharmacist responsibilities as required.

Quality Assurance:

Engage in evaluations conducted by authorized inspection agencies and take appropriate actions based on recommendations.

Performance Enhancement:

Participate in the pharmacy's Performance Improvement program as requested by Human Resources.

Professional Growth:

Engage in professional and industry organization activities, as well as in-service and continuing education programs.

Additional Tasks:

Carry out any other duties as assigned by the President/PIC.

Minimum Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree and State Licensure. Strong organizational and delegation skills. Experience in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes. Organizational skills to maintain accurate records. Current knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements necessary for this position include: Regularly standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Using hands to operate office equipment and vehicles. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
