Position Summary:
The Senior Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in analyzing and providing strategic recommendations on portfolio construction. This position involves assessing and monitoring market risks across various asset classes at both the portfolio and manager levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Senior Risk Officer will:
1. Analyze portfolio construction and offer insights on asset allocation and manager selection.
2. Contribute to the development of efficient portfolios aligned with investment objectives.
3. Identify and recommend managers for the 'watch list' to the investment teams.
4. Research and develop innovative methodologies for a multi-asset risk framework tailored for pension funds.
5. Utilize factor-based quantitative models to analyze investment risks and assess their impact on overall portfolio risk.
6. Investigate portfolio strategies and new investment opportunities, presenting risk analyses to stakeholders.
7. Aid in building an internal risk infrastructure for effective monitoring and reporting.
8. Participate in due diligence processes for managers and contribute to strategic projects across all asset classes.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a graduate degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, accounting, or a related field, along with four or more years of relevant professional experience in financial services, particularly in asset management. Alternatively, candidates with a BS/BA degree and six or more years of related experience will also be considered.

Preferred Skills:
Candidates with over 10 years of demonstrated experience in Risk Management or related fields within leading financial services firms are highly desirable. Strong expertise in at least one asset class, particularly in multi-asset investments, is preferred. A solid understanding of risk management concepts and investment strategies, along with practical knowledge of risk analysis applications such as MSCI's BarraOne or FactSet, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in VBA and Python, is strongly recommended. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are also required.
