Position Overview:

Nexagen Networks Inc is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead our software integration initiatives. This role is pivotal in providing technical expertise and strategic direction to our development teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical authority and mentor for software project initiatives, guiding the development team towards achieving project objectives.
  • Oversee and inspire a skilled team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Implement and refine effective software development methodologies in line with Agile practices.
  • Support the professional development of team members, enhancing their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment and maintenance.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule, delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, including senior leadership and product teams.
  • Explore and integrate advanced technologies and tools to improve software development efficiency and quality.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in software development.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of software development principles, best practices, and architectural frameworks.
  • Provide technical direction for system upgrades and new implementations as per project management standards.
  • Handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously as directed by management.
  • Offer architectural and design support throughout development, testing, and production phases.
Certification Requirements:
  • Achieve 1 x IAM (Information Assurance Management) Level II certification within the first year.
  • Obtain ITIL v4 Foundations and one of the following within the first year: ITIL v4 Strategist Direct, Plan, and Improve or ITIL 4 Specialist Create, Deliver, and Support certifications.
  • Secure a Cloud Associate certification or higher within the first year, such as Azure Developer Associate or AWS Certified Developer Associate.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner)
  • SAFe 5 Program Consultant
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM 1)
  • Docker Certified Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • Terraform Associate Certification
  • Project Management Professional
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related Engineering discipline is required.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
  • Substitution of one year of formal education for two years of relevant experience is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software development support within a web-based distributed environment, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing complex technical programs/projects, overseeing costs, schedules, performance, and personnel.
Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps principles and practices is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as PowerShell, PERL, Unix Shell, Python, etc.
  • Experience with GitOps using GitLab.
  • Strong expertise in modern development tools and technologies, including CI/CD, Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), Docker, Kubernetes, and API integration.
  • Prior experience with Navy and/or DoD projects is beneficial.
  • Experience with Collaboration at Sea (CAS) and/or CENTRIXS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HCL Domino is desirable.
