Position Overview:

As a Lead Pharmacist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our pharmacy operations. You will work in conjunction with the Pharmacy In-Charge (PIC) and other team members to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical services to our clientele. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities related to pharmacy management and patient care.

Scope of Supervision: Pharmacy Technicians

Responsibilities:
Collaborative

Partner closely with the PIC to define and track pharmacy objectives, ensuring steady progress and reporting

Business Growth:

Assist in the formulation and execution of initiatives aimed at expanding the pharmacy's reach

Financial Oversight:

Provide insights on pharmacy financials and budgetary management

Operational Excellence:

Supervise internal pharmacy processes and workflows to uphold superior service standards

Customer-Centric Approach:

Ensure our pharmacy team is accountable for decisions that affect our customers

Team Engagement:

Organize regular meetings with pharmacy staff to promote collaboration and achievement of goals

Communication:

Foster open lines of communication with all pharmacy personnel, encouraging their input and teamwork

Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to refine organizational processes and enhance patient outcomes

Regulatory Compliance:

Guarantee ongoing adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards while implementing best practices

Delegation:

Assign responsibilities as necessary to ensure timely and precise execution of pharmacy operations

Pharmacist Duties:

Execute standard pharmacist responsibilities as required

Quality Assurance:

Engage in evaluations conducted by authorized inspection bodies and take appropriate actions based on their recommendations

Performance Improvement:

Participate in the pharmacy's Performance Improvement program as directed by Human Resources

Professional Development:

Take part in professional and industry organization activities, as well as in-service and continuing education programs

Ad-Hoc Tasks:

Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the President/PIC

Minimum Qualifications:
Pharmacy degree and State Licensure. Strong organizational and delegation skills. Experience in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes. Organizational skills to maintain accurate records. Current knowledge of applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

The physical requirements necessary for this position include: Regularly standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing. Using hands to operate office equipment and vehicles. Occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
