IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT SENIOR FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST/SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT III

Education:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related Engineering discipline is required.

Alternatively, a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience may be considered in place of each year of formal education.


Experience:

A total of ten (10) years of experience in managing increasingly complex technical programs/projects, with accountability for cost, schedule, performance, and personnel management, while effectively communicating and collaborating with clients.

Additionally, five (5) years of experience as a senior authority with comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD), Navy, and Joint IT systems is essential. This role involves providing strategic insights and recommendations regarding project direction and outcomes. You will contribute to the assessment, analysis, and formulation of proposed solutions, addressing intricate challenges that necessitate a profound understanding of DOD and Navy IT systems. The application of IT Service Management principles to solutions is crucial. A proven track record in management consulting and cross-functional facilitation at both technical and managerial levels is required.

Other areas of expertise may encompass business process reengineering, statistical process control, organizational assessment and evaluation, process modeling and simulation, strategic and business planning, change management, organizational development, and the cultivation of leadership and management skills.

You will oversee the activities of program teams or other personnel as necessary.

Certifications:

Ongoing certification and education are mandatory, adhering to the Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CSWF) certification requirements based on DOD and Navy standards, with a minimum of Security+ certification.

ITIL v3 Foundations and one intermediate ITIL v3 certification, specifically in Service Operations or Continual Service Improvement, are required, or ITIL v4 Foundations along with ITIL v4 Strategist Direct, Plan and Improve or ITIL 4 Specialist Create, Deliver and Support.

A Cloud foundation certification is also necessary.
