Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department, including greeting guests and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist with recruitment, screening, and interviewing for hotel positions, ensuring the hiring and retention of qualified associates.
  • Manage HR bulletin boards and posting locations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Distribute paychecks and maintain accurate department and associate files.
  • Explain benefits to associates, assist with enrollment and claims processing, and monitor job requisitions.
  • Coordinate associate relations events and recognition programs, such as the Associate of the Month program.
  • Process benefits enrollments and other functions electronically, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and update job requisitions, communicate hotel job openings internally and externally, and coordinate pre-selection activities.
  • Process transfer requests, respond to interviewed applicants, and assist the Director of Human Resources or Human Resources Manager in achieving goals and objectives.
  • Control the administration of wages and benefits, analyzing and applying information from reports, manuals, and computer systems.
  • Prepare correspondence and memos as needed, maintain applicant flow log/data, and ensure new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Hotel experience preferred, with knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, and hospitality law.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, with the ability to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
