Job Summary

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Leader to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading front-end and service desk/kiosk associates, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service, resolve issues quickly and courteously, and promote customer goodwill.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead front-end and service desk/kiosk associates, assign tasks, and ensure effective work schedules to meet business traffic requirements.
  • Store Operations: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensure compliance with company safety standards, and report any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash pickups and change orders, verify customer IDs, and observe store policies pertaining to the acceptance of checks and the sale of tobacco/alcoholic beverages.
  • Performance Management: Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of front-end and service desk/kiosk associates, provide recognition of accomplishments, and offer constructive counseling when necessary.
Requirements
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate ability to lead and motivate a team, provide guidance and support, and make informed decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic technical skills, including proficiency in cash handling, customer service software, and other relevant systems.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
