Job Overview

Position Summary

The Joplin Youth Coordinator is responsible for providing essential support to the James River Youth Joplin Pastor and assisting with various operational tasks at the Joplin Campus.

Key Responsibilities

Joplin Coordinator Duties:

  • Oversee the assignment of the Joplin Campus Dream Team members to their weekly service commitments.
  • Communicate weekly assignments to relevant team leaders and coaches.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for service roles and find replacements as necessary.
  • Manage staffing for VIP Connect and Check-in areas, providing assistance as required.
  • Supervise the organization and maintenance of VIP/Check-in areas to ensure they are well-stocked and orderly.
  • Ensure that a Dream Team member is present at Check-in and Auditorium Hosting positions.
  • Develop and maintain a follow-up system for Dream Team attendance across all campuses.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of service materials and handouts.
  • Keep Dream Team and Life Group records updated.
  • Communicate with Pastoral Leads regarding any Dream Team member needing support.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager to create mass email communications for the Dream Team.
  • Support the development of the student leader program.
  • Timely assignment of VIP/Altar/Baptism interactions to appropriate pastors.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on all VIP/Altar interactions.
  • Compile and distribute follow-up communications for VIP/Salvation and Baptism statistics.

Grow Track Responsibilities:

  • Engage with potential adult and student Dream Team candidates during Grow Track Week 4.
  • Track and communicate with students and Dream Teams throughout the Grow Track process.
  • Complete Dream Team Prospect interactions promptly.
  • Assign new Grow Track graduates to appropriate Dream Teams and facilitate connections with their coaches.
  • Coordinate orientation meetings for new Dream Team candidates.
  • Ensure proper training connections are established with coaches.
  • Follow up with Dream Team Coaches to ensure new members are integrating well.
  • Provide new Dream Team members with appropriate materials.

Life Group Duties:

  • Maintain communication with Life Group Leaders and attendees.
  • Keep accurate attendance records for all Life Groups.
  • Support recruitment and training efforts for Life Groups.

Event Coordination:

  • Assist Pastoral Leads with preparations for Joplin Youth Events.
  • Support the Office Manager in tracking and reporting registration numbers.
  • Facilitate communication with parents and students regarding event registrations.
  • Assist with various special events as needed.

Campus Support:

  • Coordinate monthly service events.
  • Provide support for all church-wide events.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of clerical experience or equivalent training.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with modern office practices, including filing and communication techniques.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build rapport with others.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to interact positively with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated integrity and responsibility in a professional setting.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
