Position Summary

The Elementary Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the weekly operations and ministry functions related to the Elementary Department. This role involves close collaboration with the Elementary Campus Pastor to ensure effective ministry logistics, preparation of supplies for small and large group activities, and recruitment of team members. The coordinator will provide leadership and support to volunteers, fostering a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Management:

  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills to convey vision and motivate the team.
  • Facilitate team building and create opportunities for volunteer engagement and relationship development.
  • Recruit and nurture a capable team to support Sunday and Wednesday programs.
  • Disseminate essential information to volunteers regarding services, events, and updates.
  • Prepare volunteer schedules for Sunday and Wednesday activities.
  • Develop a leadership team to oversee critical ministry functions.
  • Conduct follow-ups with leaders who were absent from services.
  • Send appropriate correspondence to leaders for special occasions.

Ministry Operations:

  • Oversee the management of Sunday and Wednesday services.
  • Ensure proper setup of Elementary classrooms and restock supplies as needed.
  • Manage the Elementary LIFT program, including preparation and communication of Game Plans to leaders.
  • Collect and maintain attendance records and report on salvations.
  • Prepare engaging activities for the Elementary area and ensure readiness for services.
  • Welcome and assist first-time guests and their families.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols in the Elementary area.

Family Engagement:

  • Actively involve parents and families in church activities.
  • Follow up with families in need and address any disciplinary issues with children.
  • Promote a culture of encouragement and support within the community.

Event Coordination:

  • Participate in planning and executing special events such as holiday celebrations and camps.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with volunteers and families.
  • Strong team player with attention to detail and a clear vision for the department.
  • Ability to lead with positivity and enthusiasm.
