Position Overview:

The Program Evaluation Specialist plays a vital role within the College of Dental Medicine. This position involves the planning, execution, and reporting of program evaluations, ensuring adherence to institutional policies, HRSA standards, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations associated with grant management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and report on program evaluations and related administrative tasks, collaborating closely with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research and the Project Manager to meet program objectives and outcomes.
  • Support the Associate Dean, Project Manager, HRSA project personnel, staff, students, and partners in the evaluation planning, execution, and reporting processes, including work plan development, scheduling, and data collection.
  • Engage with project staff, partners, and stakeholders to gather data, ensure secure data transfer and storage, and perform data analysis and summarization for comprehensive reporting.
  • Prepare and present reports to University leadership, HRSA, partners, students, and other stakeholders detailing compliance, progress, performance, and program impacts.
  • Oversee compliance with University policies, HRSA requirements, and all applicable laws and regulations related to grant funding.
  • Research and develop innovative strategies to promote project outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately document time spent on program evaluation in accordance with HRSA/University guidelines to ensure proper allocation of program costs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, health education/promotion, or a related public health field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience, including program planning and evaluation, or a combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge and skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required; experience with statistical software and relational databases is preferred.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team, showing a commitment to equity and inclusion.
