Position Summary

The Elementary Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the weekly operations and ministry functions associated with the Elementary Department. This role involves close collaboration with the Elementary Campus Pastor to facilitate ministry logistics, resource management, and volunteer recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Management:

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to convey vision and motivation to the team.
  • Foster team cohesion and create opportunities for relationship building among volunteers.
  • Recruit and nurture an effective team to support Sunday and Wednesday programs.
  • Provide essential information to volunteers regarding services, upcoming events, and any pertinent updates.
  • Prepare volunteer schedules for Sunday and Wednesday services.
  • Develop a leadership team to oversee key ministry functions, including Elementary Coaches and Service Assistants.
  • Follow up with leaders who were absent from services.
  • Send appropriate correspondence to leaders, such as birthday and get-well cards.

Service Management:

  • Oversee the management of Sunday and Wednesday services and the Dream Team.
  • Ensure proper setup of Elementary classrooms for services.
  • Restock classroom supplies as needed.
  • Manage the Elementary LIFT program, including preparing and distributing Game Plans to leaders.
  • Collect and document attendance for services and report on salvations.
  • Prepare and lead pre-service activities for the Elementary area.
  • Engage with first-time guests and ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Elementary area post-service.

Family Engagement:

  • Actively involve parents and families in church activities.
  • Follow up with families in need and address any disciplinary actions involving children.
  • Promote a culture of encouragement and support within the ministry.

Large Group Responsibilities:

  • Understand and communicate the flow of ministry during large group settings.
  • Encourage participation from all leaders during worship and other activities.
  • Provide guidance and discipline during large group experiences.

Special Events:

  • Participate in planning and executing special events such as holiday celebrations and community engagement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with volunteers and families.
  • Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead with positivity and enthusiasm.
