Position Overview:
Healthcare Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination areas and ensure cleanliness post-visit.
- Facilitate patient flow efficiently.
- Gather and organize essential information for patient consultations.
- Provide care that aligns with the patient's age, cultural background, and individual needs.
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) for timely task management.
- Maintain adequate supplies in examination rooms.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency protocols and necessary equipment.
- Handle incoming calls professionally, directing inquiries or taking messages as needed.
- Assist in medication management.
- Support inventory management for supplies as directed.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Operate within the defined scope of practice.
- Adapt to varying work schedules as required.

General Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push and pull objects, considering weight and frequency.
- Capability to lift heavy items as necessary.
- Physical mobility to navigate the workplace effectively.
- Agility to maneuver within confined spaces.
- Dexterity in hand and finger movements.
- Maintain balance during various physical activities.
- Endurance for tasks such as prolonged standing or typing.

Environmental Considerations:
- Exposure to chemicals and fumes.
- Potential for loud noises and vibrations.
- Working in extreme temperatures and confined areas.

Allergens:
- Dust, mold, and pollen exposure.

Safety Considerations:
- Risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens and infectious materials.
- Contact with patients or biological specimens may occur.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience preferred; 2-4 years is advantageous.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills are necessary; familiarity with office equipment is a plus.
- Experience with patient care technologies and EHR systems is preferred.

Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.
