Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Therapy Team under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Assess and document residents' motor functions, strength, and overall physical performance.
  • Monitor residents' progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Assist residents in executing prescribed exercises.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including stretching and massage.
  • Support residents in the use of necessary therapeutic equipment and devices.
  • Educate residents on proper exercise techniques to enhance strength and mobility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of residents' information to uphold their dignity.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and professional standards.
  • Contribute positively to the overall goals of the therapy team.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Valid State PTA License.
  • Preferred experience in long-term care environments.
