Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the administration of the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems that support the organization's Information Management / Information Technology (IM/IT) initiatives.

You will provide expert advice and recommendations regarding IM/IT system administration.

Your role will involve interpreting and applying IM/IT policies, processes, and guidelines, conducting systems and applications analysis/design, and proposing solutions to identified problems and issues.

You will troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to diagnose and rectify malfunctions and other operational challenges.

Qualifications
To qualify, you must possess at least one year of information technology-related experience in either the federal service or the private/public sector, demonstrating the following four competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates thoroughness in work and a conscientious approach to detail.
  • Customer Service: Engages with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide assistance, and resolve issues.
  • Oral Communication: Effectively conveys information to individuals or groups, considering the audience and the nature of the information.
  • Problem Solving: Identifies issues, evaluates information accuracy and relevance, and makes sound recommendations.

In addition to the competencies mentioned, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. This experience should include:
  • Administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including routers, switches, workstations, and servers in an Operational Technology (OT)/Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment.
  • Managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability issues.

This announcement utilizes the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is subject to the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Certain incentives, such as Recruitment, Relocation, or Student Loan Repayment, may be available to eligible selectees. Please note that a relocation incentive may be authorized, while PCS is not applicable. This is an obligated position, and the former incumbent has return rights to this role. The position may require overtime work, and multiple vacancies may be filled.
