About the Role

At Venus Fashion, we prioritize the highest standards of cybersecurity to protect our organizational assets and ensure adherence to industry regulations. We are looking for a committed Information Security Specialist to join our team and fortify our systems against evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Training & Awareness:
    • Develop, implement, and oversee security awareness initiatives, including alerts on new threats, training campaigns, and phishing simulations.
    • Provide secure coding training and documentation to development teams, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Vulnerability Assessment:
    • Perform regular vulnerability assessments (both internal and external) to identify potential risks.
    • Coordinate or directly address vulnerabilities to ensure compliance and successful audit outcomes.
    • Oversee the vulnerability management system.
  • Policy Development:
    • Create, maintain, and disseminate cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response strategies.
    • Regularly update cybersecurity policies to ensure employee awareness and compliance.
  • Incident Response:
    • Manage cybersecurity incidents from detection through to resolution, providing executive summaries and adhering to alerting protocols.
    • Conduct daily monitoring with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Threat Intelligence:
    • Investigate and analyze current cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively research potential threats and evaluate tools to counteract adversarial techniques.
  • Network Defense:
    • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and secure web proxies.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Lead and manage all cybersecurity audits, including compliance checks and documentation preparation.
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards and maintain thorough documentation for audit purposes.
  • Tool Administration:
    • Oversee various security tools, ensuring their effective management and integration.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work alongside engineering and support teams to balance security needs with user experience.
    • Ensure active support for the Information Security Officer function across all departments.
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Proficient in log analysis, investigation, and automation.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Pentest+, or CEH are preferred.
  • Additional certifications like CISSP or CASP are highly regarded.
Education & Experience
  • Extensive background in cybersecurity, particularly with compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience with SIEM tools and threat hunting methodologies.
  • Experience in deploying and managing security solutions.
  • A degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is beneficial, but significant hands-on experience is equally valued.
  • A minimum of 3 years in IT security administration or a related capacity is required.
