The City of Jacksonville is seeking a proficient Library Systems Administrator to enhance their operational capabilities. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Systems and Technology and is essential for overseeing and optimizing various library technologies that support the institution's objectives.

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of four years of experience in systems analysis, implementation, and administration
  • Expertise in programming and scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, JavaScript, and UNIX shell scripting
  • Experience with library systems is advantageous
  • A Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited program is preferred

The Library Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing the library's integrated library system, computer time/print management system, and other associated technologies. This role requires effective collaboration with various library departments, the City of Jacksonville's Information Technologies Division, as well as interactions with customers and vendors.
