About the Position

The Jacksonville Jaguars are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Human Resources and Operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing the hiring, talent management, and people operations to ensure a seamless workflow and an engaging, inclusive, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Function Management: Have full ownership of the day-to-day People function and correlated tools, including HRIS management, HR data integrity, reporting, and other core people functions.
  • Tool and System Implementation: Recommend and implement the best tools and systems to build a strong foundation for the People Operations team and all employees.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee and execute the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, the interview process, paperwork, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Onboard new employees and oversee and coordinate new hire orientations.
  • Liaison and Partnership: Act as a liaison between the People and Culture team and the Payroll and Benefits team on various team member matters.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Partner with payroll and benefits team to ensure competitive benefits programs are in place to support the company's ability to attract and retain top talent.
  • Administrative Tasks: Process all administrative needs as part of an employee's lifecycle, such as FMLA, accommodations, LOA requests, employment verifications, tuition reimbursement, unemployment claims, name changes, etc.
  • Performance Review and Feedback: Oversee performance review and feedback processes.
  • Key Performance Indicators: Identify key performance indicators for the organization's people operations function and assess the organization's success and competitiveness based on these metrics.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the company remains compliant with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations and file all required reports in a timely manner.
  • General Office Administration: Provide general office administrative oversight, including management of office spaces and desk assignments, employee collaboration and meeting areas, and vendors.
  • Employee Perks and Offerings: Oversee general and routine offerings and operations, such as employee daily lunches, game day people operations, and various other employee perks.
  • Project Management: Implement and assist with other needs and projects as they arise.
Requirements
  • Education: College degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) previous years' relevant experience.
  • Certification: HRCI or SHRM certification strongly preferred.

  • HR Systems: Working knowledge of and experience with various HR systems, processes, policies, practices, procedures, and tools.
  • Ceridian Dayforce: Extensive knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce a plus.
  • Employment Law: Demonstrated understanding of employment and labor law policies, regulations, and practices.
  • Leadership: Independent, self-starter who takes the initiative to identify and assist in resolving problems both within and beyond areas of direct responsibility.
  • Judgment and Attitude: Excellent judgment and ability to maintain effectiveness, professional demeanor, and positive attitude, even in ambiguous situations and during high-pressure periods.
  • Performance Review: Oversaw performance review processes previously, a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
