Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in the overall administration and coordination of the human resource function at Stellar Energy. This position performs duties at the administrative level in various functional areas, including employee relations, recruiting, training and development, benefits administration, and HRIS data entry and general office tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding benefits, timecards, and other HR-related matters from employees and leadership at various levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate activities related to recruitment, including job posting, candidate sourcing, and coordinating assessments, interviews, requests for background checks and drug screens, and results.
  • Oversee and coordinate the new hire and onboarding processes, including preparation and presentation review of company policies and benefit plans, and collection and processing of new hire paperwork.
  • Assist with maintaining training files and preparing for performance reviews.
  • Conduct exit interviews and maintain the exit interview database.
  • Perform audits of employee files as needed.
  • Coordinate employees' special events and maintain the communication board for the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct weekly reporting of records for employee lists, time-off balances, and other HR-related data.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including filing, copying, maintaining, tracking, mailing, and ordering HR materials.
  • Administer policies, procedures, and programs relating to all aspects of human resource activity.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as regulations from other applicable agencies.
  • Organize, update, and maintain personnel files; prepare and manage HR documents; and perform data entry for the HRIS (ADP) system software.
  • Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of HR/office experience.
  • Proficient in Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An associate degree in a related discipline from an accredited university.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience.
Work Environment

This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require occasional weekend work.
