Role Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve engaging with our Earth & Environment Team and contributing to a variety of projects that align with our clients' goals and address their challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Gathering and analyzing environmental data from various sources, including air, soil, and water samples.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and inspections of environmental facilities and pollution sources to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Providing expert advice on environmental issues and site characteristics.
  • Researching historical land use through environmental databases.
  • Creating detailed reports and visual representations of data for project presentations.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality control in measurements and reporting.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of small to medium-scale projects.
  • Contributing to the development of technical documentation that addresses environmental challenges.
  • Conducting studies to gather further insights into specific environmental issues.
  • Analyzing field data to inform action plans for environmental risk mitigation.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver project outcomes.
  • Supporting the creation and enforcement of site Health and Safety Plans.
  • Upholding ethical standards in all aspects of work and adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct.
Qualifications

Essential:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and their application to environmental projects.
  • Ability to liaise with regulatory agencies and comprehend compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with hazardous substance reduction and environmental mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of environmental laws and compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse audiences.
  • Strong self-management skills with a focus on detail and results.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and data analysis tools.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
Preferred:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Completion of OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER).
