  • Offer recommendations to sponsoring agencies and respond to inquiries, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of final project outputs, including reports, papers, and presentations.
  • Apply engineering principles and in-depth technical knowledge of energy and environmental technologies to address specific research issues and opportunities.
  • Participate as a technical team member, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts and occasionally leading engineering activities in the field, such as site evaluations and energy assessments.
  • Oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in final deliverables.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research as necessary, promoting interdisciplinary program development that incorporates energy efficiency and environmental stewardship principles.

Staff Management

Plan, assign, and review the work of staff to ensure group objectives are achieved. Recruit, train, and develop team members to maintain a qualified workforce aligned with group goals. Engage in additional related duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably in mechanical, industrial, electrical, chemical, civil, energy, or a related field) with at least two years of experience in energy, manufacturing, utility, research, or service industries. Alternatively, a Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance with a minimum of one year of relevant work or research experience is acceptable.

Experience in modeling battery storage systems or distributed generation technologies is required.
