Patient Services Representative Job Summary

The Patient Services Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing various clinical and program support activities, including scheduling appointments and handling patient payments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and direct calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders regarding clinic operations.
  • Schedule appointments and enter information into our computerized schedule.
  • Collect payments, copays, and deposits from patients at check-in.
  • Update patient information in our practice management software.
  • Verify insurance benefits and assist with patient insurance correspondence.
  • Maintain clinic records and databases in an efficient and confidential manner.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and maintain patient flow.
  • Comply with organizational and HIPAA policies to ensure patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a customer service role; experience in healthcare or insurance preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic office management and organization principles.
Work Environment:

This role is based in our Woodbury clinic, where you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
