Position Overview

The Healthcare IT Program Coordinator will oversee the comprehensive management of project budgets, labor cost analysis, billing processes, procurement strategies, and vendor relations for the IT Program management team. Projects under this initiative will vary in scale, encompassing medium to large complex undertakings. This role necessitates the application of financial acumen and project management expertise to effectively manage costs and budgets, ensuring alignment with IT delivery objectives while adhering to established baselines of cost, schedule, and scope.

Role Summary

As a vital member of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center IT Portfolio Management Office, the Program Coordinator will spearhead healthcare IT initiatives that span clinical patient care, research, education, and shared services. This position will guide projects through all phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure, transitioning from design to implementation, training, and ultimately into operational readiness for end-users. The initiatives at the OSU Wexner Medical Center will involve a variety of technologies, integrated systems, and diverse business functions.

The Program Coordinator will execute essential functions to ensure the consistent, high-quality, and successful delivery of assigned projects, while adeptly managing competing demands related to scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and stakeholder expectations. This role requires a robust skill set and the capability to engage with all levels of personnel, including executives and potentially patients. The Coordinator must balance multiple priorities and exhibit qualities of trust, collaboration, and transparency, ensuring that every project is managed to enhance customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a role focused on specific technologies, specialties, or disciplines (e.g., applications development, networking, telephony, database administration, etc.).
