Position Overview:
This role is focused on providing essential support in the management of substance abuse treatment programs. The successful candidate will engage with individuals facing substance use challenges, offering guidance and resources to aid in their recovery journey.

Compensation:
Substance Abuse Counselor I
Monthly Salary: $3,472.86 - Salary GR.B16
Note: For ERS Retirees (or non-contributing members), the salary will be $3,344.91.

Substance Abuse Counselor II
Monthly Salary: $4,509.50 - Salary GR.17
Note: For ERS Retirees (or non-contributing members), the salary will be $3,539.29.

Minimum Qualifications:
This position may be filled at either the SAC I or SAC II levels. Selected candidates lacking the necessary licenses must agree to a Credential Contingency Agreement, which will remain valid until the specified expiration date. Non-compliance will result in termination of employment. These agreements will not be extended or renewed following separation from employment or acceptance of another role.

Career Ladder:
This is a Career Ladder position. When selecting candidates, consideration will be given to the applicant's education, experience, licensure, and credentials.

Military Occupational Specialty Codes:
Applicable codes for this position include: 68, 67, HM, 01, 4C, 42.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
Outside applicants must undergo pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment.
