Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Substance Abuse Counselor at either the SAC I or SAC II levels. This position plays a critical role in providing support and guidance to individuals dealing with substance use issues.

Compensation:
Substance Abuse Counselor I: $3,472.86/month - Salary GR.B16
Note: The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will be $3,344.91.

Substance Abuse Counselor II: $4,509.50/month - Salary GR.17
Note: The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will be $3,539.29.

Minimum Qualifications:
Selected candidates without the necessary licenses must agree to a Credential Contingency Agreement, which will remain valid only until the specified expiration date. Non-compliance with this agreement may lead to termination of employment. Please note that these agreements will not be extended or renewed due to separation from employment or acceptance of another position.

Career Advancement:
This is a Career Ladder position. When selecting candidates, consideration will be given to the applicant's education, experience, licensure, and credentials.

Military Occupational Specialty Codes:
The following codes are generally applicable to this position: 68, 67, HM, 01, 4C, 42.
