Position Summary

The role of the IT Technician is crucial for maintaining system operations and ensuring that end users can effectively perform their business tasks. The primary responsibility of the IT Technician is to respond promptly to support requests, serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, and guarantee user satisfaction, alongside various technical responsibilities.

IT Technicians must exhibit strong interpersonal skills, as they will engage with colleagues from different departments, executive levels, and clients on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high-level problem-solving abilities, exceptional customer service skills, and strong organizational capabilities.

The Level III Technician collaborates closely with the sales team to deliver both pre-sales and post-sales support, which includes conducting discovery meetings, site assessments, proposal development, and technical presentations. The successful candidate will be results-driven, self-motivated, professional, dependable, and a collaborative team member.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage incoming service desk requests via phone, web portal, and email to ensure prompt and effective resolution of user issues.
  • Oversee the setup and provisioning of systems for new employees.
  • Prioritize incidents and service requests in accordance with established processes to meet service level agreements.
  • Utilize remote management tools and diagnostic utilities to assist in resolving support requests.
  • Perform on-site repairs at the desktop level when remote assistance is not feasible, including hardware repairs and peripheral delivery.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components across various network devices.
  • Implement antivirus and endpoint detection and response software, ensuring up-to-date virus definitions.
  • Administer servers through Active Directory, File & Print services, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Manage and maintain network firewalls and switches.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including the inspection and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Define and maintain the technology stack (solutions/vendors) for adoption.
  • Foster positive relationships with all departments and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and security standards.
  • Engage in network and server solution design and architecture.
Qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Proficient in desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2008, Server 2012, Server 2016, and Mac OS.
  • Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is essential.
  • CompTIA Network+/Security+ and MS 365 certifications are required.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background check is a condition of employment.
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
