POSITION OVERVIEW:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is seeking candidates for the role of Help Desk Technical Tier I Support. This position involves providing assistance and guidance to troubleshoot issues related to computers and similar devices within the network. Candidates should demonstrate a collaborative spirit and possess a strong work ethic, along with the ability to think critically in challenging situations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must hold a valid US passport.
  • An active and current Secret Clearance is mandatory.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Managing trouble calls through phone and computer ticketing systems.
  • Conducting laptop imaging processes.
  • Executing basic IP troubleshooting tasks.
  • Creating user accounts within the domain.
  • Managing the addition and removal of computers in a Microsoft domain environment.
  • Assigning user accounts to appropriate groups and permissions.
  • Establishing exchange mailboxes.
  • Resolving user email issues.
  • Troubleshooting printer problems and mapping shared printers.
  • Documenting trouble calls and actions taken for reporting purposes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with IT systems.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in IT customer support.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical capabilities.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

An Associate's degree in Networking is preferred, or alternatively, eleven (11) years of relevant specialized experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in maintaining relevant certifications is essential.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must hold one (1) of the following certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ CE
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
  • Certified Network Defender (CND)
  • CompTIA Network+ CE
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
