POSITION OVERVIEW:

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is seeking candidates for the role of Help Desk Technical Tier I Support. The selected individuals will be responsible for providing technical assistance and information to resolve issues related to computers and networked products. Candidates must demonstrate a collaborative spirit and possess a strong work ethic, alongside the critical thinking skills necessary to thrive in challenging environments.

  • Candidates with a valid US passport are preferred.
  • An active Secret Clearance is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties will be performed by all candidates:

  • Manage trouble calls through phone and ticketing systems.
  • Conduct laptop imaging tasks.
  • Execute basic IP troubleshooting.
  • Create user accounts within the domain.
  • Manage the addition and removal of computers in a Microsoft domain environment.
  • Assign user accounts to the appropriate groups and permissions.
  • Set up exchange mailboxes.
  • Address user email issues.
  • Troubleshoot printer issues and configure shared printers.
  • Document trouble calls and actions taken for reporting purposes.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with IT systems.
  • At least four (4) years of experience in IT customer support.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with robust analytical capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

An Associate's degree in Networking is preferred, or alternatively, eleven (11) years of relevant specialized experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in maintaining relevant certifications is essential.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must hold one (1) of the following certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ CE
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
  • Certified Network Defender (CND)
  • CompTIA Network+ CE
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
