This role supports the growth of Sysco's customer base by managing the customer relationship locally, with the expectation of enhancing the customer experience. The role will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned customers and handle last mile activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products; collaborate with internal teams to drive outcomes and influence customer interactions.
- Liaise with local sales teams to implement direction and best practices; act as a role model for best practice.
- Utilize CRM tools for account management, including managing tasks, communicating across teams, and ensuring accurate customer data.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through in-person visits and regular communication.
- Able to have challenging conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for escalating issues as needed.
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of prior outside foodservice account management or B2B sales experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets Company insurability standards.
- Knowledge of Sysco products, ordering procedures, and credit terms.
- Proficient with customer service management and able to partner cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage end-to-end initiatives through challenging deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to provide top-notch customer service to multiple customers simultaneously.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
- Expert in Microsoft Office.
- Continuously learn existing and new Sysco technologies.
