About the Role

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Operations Director to lead our Compliance organization at Afterpay. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily team operations, prioritization, and execution, as well as managing partnerships with finance, HR, and recruiting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Programs: Develop and implement strategic programs to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee Budget Management: Manage the annual and quarterly planning process, including goal setting and tracking, and oversee budget management and partnership with finance and strategy.
  • Partner with HR: Collaborate with HR on organizational design and change management, and partner with recruiting to manage the recruiting strategy, including headcount management, hiring, and approvals.
  • Develop Communications Strategy: Create a communications strategy to ensure the right information is being shared with the right people at the right time across the organization.
  • Lead RFPs and Vendor Management: Oversee RFPs, vendor management, and contract negotiation and renewals.
  • Present to Leadership Team: Present to the leadership team and Afterpay executives to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Understand Business Strategies: Understand Afterpay's business strategies and work with product and technology partners to ensure alignment.
  • Identify Operational Improvements: Identify and implement operational and efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years of business operations management and leadership experience in either a strategy, finance, or other directly applicable function.
  • Exceptional Leadership: Exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities, and are comfortable working with all teams and levels of employees.
  • Data-Driven Approach: A data-driven approach to prioritization.
  • Excellent Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to anticipate roadblocks and align all partners.
  • Swift Decision Making: Experience making swift decisions, managing competing deadlines, and using discretion when handling complex, confidential scenarios.
