We provide essential one-on-one assistance to families dealing with mental health, substance use, and gambling challenges, while advocating for improved systems for individuals facing behavioral health issues.

Position Summary

The Program Manager is crucial in guiding the training, oversight, and professional growth of Team Supervisors, who are responsible for managing Family Peer Support Specialists. This role is vital in building and sustaining partnerships that align with the organization's mission and goals. Occasional travel to the Central Office in Columbia is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Non-Profit Management Proficiency: Utilize extensive knowledge in non-profit management to support Team Supervisors in effectively overseeing programs and personnel. Ensure compliance with regulations and enhance organizational efficiency.
  2. Grant Management: Exhibit expertise in managing grant awards, including budgeting, reporting, and adherence to grant stipulations. Supervise the distribution of grant funds to support program objectives.
  3. Training and Development Leadership: Deliver training, oversight, and professional development to Team Supervisors, focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities within the non-profit sector. Equip them with essential skills for managing grant-funded initiatives.
  4. Fostering a Positive Work Environment: Cultivate a supportive and positive workplace for supervised staff, promoting well-being, job satisfaction, and professional advancement. Implement strategies to ensure a healthy work-life balance and address workplace concerns promptly.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders to represent the organization and its objectives.
  6. Performance Evaluation: Manage and evaluate performance to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  7. Collaboration and Outreach: Foster collaboration and outreach efforts to enhance program visibility and impact.

Qualifications:

  • Personal experience as a primary caregiver for a loved one facing mental health or substance use challenges is essential.
  • Residence in designated counties is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a human services field or a minimum of five years of experience working with families dealing with behavioral health challenges.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in the human services sector is necessary.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and conflict resolution abilities are required.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a strengths-based approach.
  • Proficiency in technology, including databases and MS Office Suite.
  • Mission-driven, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the state and possess a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory for all employees.
