Overview: The Insurance Sales Executive is tasked with generating new business opportunities and ensuring the retention and expansion of revenue from existing clients within an assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively design and implement sales and marketing initiatives targeting clients and prospects.
  • Oversee the overall client relationship; Ensure sustainable profitability, client satisfaction, and organic growth.
  • Exhibit the technical expertise required to articulate our solutions proficiently.
  • Meet annual new business sales objectives within our designated market segment.
  • Showcase expertise in the discovery phase (sales due diligence) and conceptual presentations that highlight USI's competitive advantages – including understanding, communicating, and delivering the USI ONE Advantage value proposition and tailored solutions for each prospect.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assemble the right team for effective prospect sales presentations, including subject matter experts and account management personnel suited to each opportunity.
  • Demonstrate the capability to identify and navigate sales challenges on a case-by-case basis.
  • Exhibit strategic insight and innovation grounded in market knowledge, carriers, and products, including comprehension of significant technical and financial matters.
  • Foster positive collaboration and pursue cross-selling opportunities with other USI divisions to enhance client relationships across the organization.
  • Represent USI positively and proactively at meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Partner with sales leadership and senior account staff to retain clients effectively.
  • Work in tandem with the account management team and local, regional, and national resources to optimize outcomes.
  • Comprehend and convey client objectives to account management teams.
  • Implement other USI policies effectively.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business-to-business sales, including engagement with senior executives and a proven record of financial success.
  • Strong or developing knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
  • Must possess a personable demeanor and a strong motivation for personal growth.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong visibility within the HR and benefits sectors.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up capabilities.
  • A consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to engaging with prospects, clients, and colleagues.
  • Outstanding listening skills with a strong customer-centric focus.
  • Must be goal-oriented.
  • Ability to engage with senior management and possess a high-level executive presence.
  • A college degree and current insurance licensing are preferred.
