Job Overview

Position: Respiratory Clinical Sales Specialist

Reports To: Regional Director of Clinical Sales

Summary:

The Respiratory Clinical Sales Specialist is tasked with executing all sales initiatives related to respiratory and ventilation products, with a focus on meeting revenue targets. This role involves providing clinical and educational resources to ensure effective understanding and utilization of the respiratory product offerings. Key referral sources include Pulmonologists, Primary Care Physicians, ALS Clinics, Hospitals, and Long-Term Acute Care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver clinical services and educational support to patients, enhancing their quality of life and managing respiratory conditions to prevent hospital readmissions.
  2. Evaluate new and existing accounts to assess referral potential and anticipated service usage.
  3. Conduct product and clinical application presentations to healthcare professionals, increasing their knowledge of respiratory and ventilation product lines and the latest advancements in pulmonary disease management.
  4. Utilize a comprehensive understanding of respiratory therapy to provide solutions for patients transitioning to home care, offering necessary support, education, and interventions.
  5. Demonstrate the ability to perform product demonstrations independently for all ventilation product lines.
  6. Provide respiratory services aimed at improving patient quality of life, assessing the effectiveness of current respiratory treatments, and contributing to interdisciplinary care plans to optimize respiratory function.
  7. Fulfill all additional responsibilities associated with the sales position.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate's Degree (A.S.) or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
  2. A minimum of two years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including both homecare and hospital settings; experience in sleep laboratories is advantageous.
  3. Preferred experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment.
  4. Certification as a Respiratory Technician (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is required. (Some states may require RN certification).
  5. Current state licensure or appropriate registration is mandatory.
  6. May need to obtain additional state licenses to expand service coverage.
  7. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  8. At least one year of sales experience in the healthcare sector or a background in selling services is preferred.
  9. Proficiency in basic computer applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, Teams, and calendar tools, with the ability to analyze data effectively.
