We are a vibrant restaurant in Washington, DC looking for a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our team. Our menu is designed by award-winning chefs Enrique Limardo and Mile Montezuma.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef/Chef in developing new menus, and ensuring high standards are maintained.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and execution of menu items
  • Collaborate with the Chef team to plan and create menus
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Optimize resource allocation and control costs
  • Organize and execute catering events
  • Work with the marketing and culinary teams to introduce new culinary initiatives
  • Produce high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a sous chef or chef
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Desirable: experience with catering and event planning
  • Estimated salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annually
