About the Role:

The Sous Chef plays a pivotal part in supporting the restaurant's vision for exceptional food quality, ensuring seamless delivery with a hands-on approach. This role contributes to a memorable guest experience by crafting delicious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of daily kitchen operations and food production areas
  • Inventory management, conducting and ordering supplies as needed
  • Inspecting deliveries for quality satisfaction
  • Familiarity with business operations within the restaurant
  • Motivating and coaching kitchen staff
  • Conducting ongoing training to meet high standards set by the Chef De Cuisine
  • Monitoring working hours and labor budget for kitchen staff
  • Understanding and adhering to Health & Safety protocols
  • Maintaining cleanliness and equipment maintenance

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience in a similar role
  • Culinary program completion considered an asset
  • Food Handling and Health & Safety training considered an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and creative flair
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights
  • Energetic with a passion for food and positive outlook
  • Able to follow instructions and exhibit professionalism
  • Ability to lift heavy materials with repetitive use of hands and dexterity involved

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
