Practice Overview

Our Internal Medicine practice provides high-quality healthcare services to patients aged 17 and older. We offer annual physical examinations, telehealth consultations, same-day sick visits, and ongoing care for chronic conditions.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with expected onsite hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Role Summary

The Practice Assistant role is essential for the efficient operation of our community-based medical practices. These professionals provide vital administrative support, ensuring that our team delivers a superior patient experience. We seek customer service-oriented individuals who excel in multitasking and thrive in a busy clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prior to patient visits, Practice Assistants are responsible for scheduling appointments and obtaining necessary prior authorizations from insurance providers.
  • During patient visits, they greet patients, address inquiries, and assist with pre-visit documentation.
  • At the conclusion of visits, Practice Assistants handle check-out procedures, including form completion, co-payment collection, and scheduling follow-up appointments or tests.
Additional responsibilities include managing incoming calls, monitoring patient flow, and providing support to practice leadership and clinical staff.

Qualifications

We believe that strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for patient care are paramount. While experience in a community-based medical practice and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) are preferred, we are open to training the right candidates.
