Department Overview:
The University of North Texas at Dallas is seeking applications for the role of Adjunct Faculty in Biological Sciences. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience within the Department of Natural Sciences, focusing on delivering high-quality instruction in biology courses.

Role Summary:
The number of available positions is contingent upon student enrollment and departmental needs. Applications will be reviewed once all required documentation is submitted. The Adjunct Faculty member will design course content, implement teaching strategies, and assess student learning outcomes. Responsibilities include teaching General Biology and advanced Biology courses, along with associated laboratory sessions. Classes may be scheduled during afternoons or evenings.

Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Biology with significant teaching experience in introductory Biology courses OR
  • A Master's degree in Science Education with at least 18 graduate hours in Biology and notable teaching experience in lower-level science courses.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Biology with extensive experience in higher education.
  • Demonstrated success in teaching adult learners in a post-secondary environment.
  • Strong communication skills in diverse settings.
  • Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
