We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Psychology courses in a hybrid format. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, utilizing technology to enhance the student learning experience, and maintaining a strong faculty-student relationship.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Psychology courses in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online instruction.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, utilizing technology to enhance student learning.
- Maintain a strong faculty-student relationship, providing regular feedback and support to students.
- Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
- Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field (sociology, education, or counseling).
- 12 graduate semester credits in psychology and/or counseling, including developmental psychology, personality and human development, learning and motivation.
- Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and academic technology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be required to travel to the Strayer University campus on a regular basis.
CompensationAdjunct Faculty members are compensated based on the number and type of courses taught in a given quarter. Currently, compensation for courses ranges from $2,300 to $3,100.
