We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our team at the University of North Texas System. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching masters-level counseling graduate courses face-to-face, in hybrid, and online formats using Canvas.
Key Responsibilities- Teach masters-level counseling graduate courses in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and course materials.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum.
- Ph.D. in Counselor Education or a closely related field from a CACREP-accredited university.
- A Licensed Professional Counselor with two years of experience or other closely related licensure in a counseling field.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in online/hybrid instruction.
- Proven teaching excellence in graduate instruction or professional development training.
- For School Counseling Classes:
- A Texas Certified School Counselor.
- Three years of school counseling experience.
- School counseling supervision experience.
- Knowledge and experience with the Texas Education Agency.
- Membership in state and national school counseling organizations.
- For Clinical Mental Health Classes:
- Experience in group counseling and family systems.
- A strong teaching background with diverse populations.
- Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.
- Knowledge of CACREP.
- Membership in state and national professional organizations.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
