Department Overview:

The UNT Dallas College of Law invites applications from seasoned legal professionals interested in contributing as Adjunct Faculty Members. These individuals will support Full-Time Professors in delivering courses on Client Interviewing and Counseling or Negotiation and Conflict Management. The College of Law aims to enhance access to legal education and develop practice-related competencies through an innovative curriculum and instructional practices.

Role Summary:

The selected candidates will assist in teaching Client Interviewing and Counseling and/or Negotiation and Conflict Management by facilitating small group simulations. Classes will be conducted in person at the UNT Dallas College of Law.

Course Details:
  • Client Interviewing and Counseling sessions will occur on Wednesday evenings.
  • Negotiation and Conflict Management classes will take place on Thursday afternoons.

Adjunct Faculty Members will collaborate to guide students through practical simulations, which will be provided by the course's Assistant Professor. While preferences for course assignments will be considered, the number of available positions may vary based on enrollment and returning faculty.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree from an accredited institution and a valid Texas law license.
  • A minimum of five years of legal practice experience.
  • Strong academic and professional credentials.
  • Proven ability to excel in teaching and mentoring students.
  • Alignment with the College of Law's educational goals and methods.

Additional Information:

All applicants must reside and practice law in the North Texas area. Adjunct Faculty Members are required to complete all necessary training mandated by the UNT Dallas College of Law.
