Job Summary:

The Beautywell Project is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Coordinator to join our team. As a Research Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating and coordinating research projects that advance our mission to combat colorism, skin-lightening practices, and chemical exposures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of research projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring seamless communication among project team members, community partners, and government partners.
  • Facilitate communication among project team members, community partners, and government partners, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and ethical guidelines related to research activities, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.
  • Conduct literature reviews and prepare reports, analyzing data and identifying trends and insights.
  • Facilitate focus group sessions, key informant interviews, and analyze data, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement outreach and education strategies to engage communities and promote research findings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, community health, social work, sociology, or a relevant field.
  • Two years of experience in research coordination or a related work area, with a strong understanding of research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes and a strong understanding of research ethics.
  • Experience in public health, community-based participatory research, and storytelling is highly desirable.
