This is a full-time role.
Position Summary:
The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment for families. We are looking for a dedicated supervisor for our Thrive by Five initiative, which employs the Parents as Teachers (PAT) evidence-based home visiting framework to provide culturally attuned parent education and support to families with children from prenatal stages to age five.
The Parents as Teachers (PAT) program is designed to empower parents as their child's primary educator. This initiative utilizes a home visiting approach, engaging with families from pregnancy until their child is ready for kindergarten. The goal of PAT is to enhance parenting practices by enriching parents' understanding of early childhood development. Through home visits and ongoing developmental screenings, parent educators can facilitate early identification of developmental delays and health concerns, aid in the prevention of child maltreatment, and bolster children's readiness for school.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management and Community Engagement (50%):
- Oversee daily operations of the Thrive by Five program staff.
- Engage community leaders in establishing a PAT community council.

- Foster relationships with community resources to support program and staff.
- Coordinate with external agencies to provide integrated services for families.
- Attend all PAT affiliate and community meetings.
- Provide reflective supervision to Thrive by Five staff in alignment with PAT fidelity standards.
- Collaborate with other Wilder Foundation programs to ensure families are informed about additional resources.
- Facilitate referrals for further screenings and assessments as necessary.

- Collaborate with the Thrive by Five team to plan community and family events.
- Implement the PAT program according to national and state guidelines.
- Support affiliate management to ensure adherence to the program model.
- Assist in developing the program implementation strategy.

- Ensure accurate data collection and entry in compliance with funder requirements.
- Maintain timely submission of all necessary documentation related to children and families served.
- Lead continuous quality improvement efforts to meet fidelity requirements.
- Monitor and track data on families served in a centralized database.
- Ensure the security and quality of client data.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Promote a workplace culture that prioritizes client privacy and security.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Flexibility in work hours is required to accommodate family and program events.
- Engage in special projects and committee work as needed.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with 4+ years of relevant experience in early childhood education or related fields. Experience as a home visitor is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to cultural responsiveness and racial equity, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
