This is a full-time, exempt position that will be responsible for managing the registration process for our Summer Workshop and Annual Meeting, overseeing the online event registration platform, and creating badges for attendees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration Management: Manage the registration process for the Summer Workshop and Annual Meeting, including building the registration module, creating reports, handling changes, and communicating with registrants to troubleshoot registration issues.
  • Event Management: Oversee the management of the online event registration platform, ensuring seamless and efficient registration experiences for attendees.
  • Badge Creation: Create badges for Summer Workshop and Annual Meeting attendees, ensuring accurate and timely production.
  • On-Site Registration: Run on-site event registration at the Summer Workshop and Annual Meeting, including packing meeting supplies for shipment to the host hotel and interacting with members and delivering exceptional customer service at the meeting registration desk.
  • Web Content Creation: Create Summer Workshop and Annual Meeting webpages and post web content, ensuring accurate and engaging information for attendees.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the Council of Graduate Schools' mission and goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Skills: Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and Excel, and highly effective interpersonal skills demonstrated by a positive attitude and earnest interest in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Attributes: An individual who can handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
