Job Overview

The Director of Membership and Fund Development will lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to grow and sustain JACL's membership and fundraising programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain annual and long-range goals for fund development, membership recruitment, and retention
  • Manage and increase funds through the Annual Giving program, corporate grants, Planned Giving program, and national sponsors
  • Collaborate with Program Staff, National Convention team, JACL regions, chapters, and Pacific Citizen on sponsorships and fundraising activities
  • Maintain personalized donor solicitation and acknowledgment procedures
  • Organize special fundraising, networking, and acknowledgment events
  • Supervise Membership Database Administrator and Membership Manager to process timely membership renewals and Chapter rebates and reports
Requirements
  • A four-year college degree in nonprofit management, business administration, community organizing, marketing, or other similar academic discipline
  • At least four or more years of experience in nonprofit fund development, membership, and management activities
  • Excellent written and communication skills required
  • Substantial experience in the use of spreadsheets and database management programs
  • Strong program development and project management skills required
