Position Summary

The International Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting functions for the organization's global entities. This role will also provide essential support to the Controller and Vice President of Finance on larger projects. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge in all areas of accounting and finance.

  • Manage all accounting operations effectively.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes for global entities.
  • Maintain the accounting system and General Ledger across all entities.
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in journal entries.
  • Oversee monthly accruals including travel, insurance, and miscellaneous benefits.
  • Handle intercompany journal entries and reconcile accounts receivable from license partners.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for corporate entities to facilitate consolidation.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure precise reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the aggregation of data for quarterly and annual financial disclosures.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned, such as researching new Accounting Standards and supporting the implementation of the global ERP system.
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
  • Support the Finance department with additional needs or special projects.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with various business units and third parties to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of diverse financial and accounting experience in a dynamic service organization, preferably in sports and live entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Experience in royalties and franchise accounting.
  • Familiarity with international accounting practices.
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on staff development.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and knowledgeable in financial systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong team collaboration skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
