Your Role As a Global Healthcare Key Account Manager (KAM) at Kuehne+Nagel, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end commercial customer journey for your assigned portfolio of accounts. You will act as the leading Kuehne+Nagel representative, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving business development activities across all Kuehne+Nagel services and business units. Your expertise in translating customer needs into actionable business targets will be key to your success in this role. Your Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary Kuehne+Nagel representative for your dedicated portfolio of accounts.
  • Maintain and develop strong personal relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular and structured review sessions with customers, focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Qualify account intelligence and translate it into addressable business targets.
  • Develop and execute account plans and customer strategies in line with Kuehne+Nagel's Key Account Program guidelines.
  • Drive growth through up-selling and cross-selling Kuehne+Nagel's service offerings.
  • Collaborate across the Kuehne+Nagel network, including business and supportive functional units.
  • Align customer requirements with business units to action new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with business units.
  • Ensure all commercial requirements are documented and maintained.
  • Monitor monthly performance metrics, including pipeline, wins, losses, and financials (e.g., Days Sales Outstanding and Credit).
  • Take immediate action on deviations and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Effectively transition new business into operations to meet customer requirements and Kuehne+Nagel commitments.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Studies, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of global healthcare key account management
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or key account management.
  • Proven track record in business development and consultative selling.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics, with broad knowledge of Air, Sea, Road, Contract Logistics (CL), and Integrated Logistics (IL).
  • Expert knowledge of Kuehne+Nagel's vertical service offerings.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Competitive nature with a strong drive to win opportunities.
  • Ability to travel domestically for monthly customer visits.
  • Potential for international travel every six months as needed.
