Our operations rely on a Senior Video Conferencing Solutions Engineer to support the Department of Energy's initiatives across various locations in the United States.

As a Senior Video Conferencing Solutions Engineer, you will be entrusted with managing intricate projects and overseeing technical, administrative, and operational aspects of diverse development efforts ranging from straightforward to complex.

Key Responsibilities:
Possess extensive experience with AV VTC equipment and hold certification for all services related to modifying or reprogramming any source code for control equipment.
Oversee the design and development of Unified Communications and Video Conferencing systems.
Manage the design, configuration, and upkeep of Voice and Video Conferencing Systems.
Lead delivery initiatives at client locations.
Evaluate vulnerabilities and maintain security compliance for Voice and Video Conferencing Systems.
Provide support for scheduled and unscheduled outages, regardless of scale and impact.
Offer guidance and leadership to less-experienced VC/UC personnel and may have supervisory duties.

Act as the escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians across all communication platforms and locations.

Deliver expert-level analysis of voice, video, and integration with data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites.
Plan and configure systems for user environments.
Support hardware and software acquisitions as well as subcontractor services as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies.
Participate in special projects as required.
Engage with various customers to assess strategic video and collaboration needs.
Ensure proper documentation of systems configurations, including drawings and standard operating procedures.
Review reports and logs for issues and identify appropriate solutions, including developing workflows for lower-tier support levels.
Provide primary and backup support in maintaining Video and UC hardware and software.
Demonstrate the ability to prepare diagrams and documentation for multiple audiences, including federal customer leadership, contractors, and business partners.
Create project plans and presentations for executive management, along with technical working diagrams and checklists for operations staff.

Develop technical and non-technical standard operating procedures.
Submit Change Control Proposals (CCP) for the Change Approval Board (CAB).

Develop and update technical documentation (network architecture text and diagrams, security plan controls annex, and risk assessment, etc.) to support certification and accreditation for the network.

Assist and lead problem resolution activities, coordinating with vendors, tracking and escalating trouble tickets, identifying and implementing service restoration workarounds, performing root cause analysis, and interfacing with customers at all levels to report status and lessons learned.

Must possess excellent problem-solving skills.
IAT II 8570 certification (Security+ CE)
Security Clearance Level TS/DOE Q
Must be willing to submit to random drug screening.
Must hold Video Teleconferencing Certifications, including programming certifications.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
7-12 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.

Skills:

Experience in Voice and Video Engineering, Infrastructure including:
Design, Maintenance, Support, Deployment, Implementation, Systems Engineering.
Advanced knowledge in Cisco Unified Communications Systems,
QoS Quality of Service
Cisco Unity Connection

VCS
Streaming Video
Cisco Video devices including endpoints and Multi-point Control Units (MCUs) and Cisco Expressway solutions
Crestron and Codex VTC units
Microsoft Teams and other Collaboration tools (Webex)
A video teleconferencing certification
Strong background with Cisco Meeting Server, VQ Conference Manager, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and/or Microsoft Teams
Experience managing virtualized applications or knowledge of how to manage virtualized applications.

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
