Overview:

We are in search of a Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tech Mahindra.

Work Arrangement:

This position requires onsite presence for three days a week, with a hybrid work model.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in FreeSWITCH and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, alongside proficiency in Genesys integration. A solid grasp of telephony systems and VoIP protocols is essential, as you will be instrumental in the design, development, and upkeep of our telecommunications framework, ensuring effective integration with Genesys platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • FreeSWITCH Development and Maintenance:
    • Design, implement, and maintain telephony systems based on FreeSWITCH.
    • Optimize configurations for enhanced performance and reliability.
    • Create custom modules and applications within the FreeSWITCH environment.
  • IVR System Design and Integration:
    • Develop and deploy IVR solutions that meet specific business needs.
    • Implement call flow logic, menu structures, and user prompts.
    • Integrate IVR systems with backend databases and APIs for dynamic content delivery.
  • Genesys Integration:
    • Facilitate the integration of FreeSWITCH systems with Genesys contact center solutions.
    • Configure and manage SIP trunks and other telephony interfaces.
    • Ensure seamless interoperability between FreeSWITCH and Genesys components.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and business analysts.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for telephony and IVR-related issues.
    • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures comprehensively.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience with FreeSWITCH and IVR systems.
    • Demonstrated experience in integrating telephony systems with Genesys platforms.
  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP) and telephony systems.
    • Proficiency in FreeSWITCH, including module development and configuration.
    • Experience in IVR design and development, including voice scripting and call flow design.
    • Familiarity with Genesys contact center solutions and integration best practices.
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Lua, or Python.
  • Other Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in FreeSWITCH or Genesys technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based telephony solutions and SIP trunking providers.
  • Knowledge of additional telephony platforms and protocols.
