Role Overview

MongoDB is in search of a skilled Financial Systems Architect to become a key member of our Business Systems team. This role will focus on optimizing and enhancing our internal financial systems and workflows. The selected candidate will be responsible for administering and configuring a comprehensive solution in NetSuite, tailored to support our rapidly expanding database technology enterprise. This position offers significant visibility across various departments, including Finance, Sales, Professional Services, and Data Warehousing.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Proven experience with financial operations in NetSuite as an Administrator.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and the ability to discuss related functionalities and system implications with stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with databases and proficiency in SQL.
  • Exceptional analytical and diagnostic abilities.
  • Capacity to foster strong relationships and effectively communicate expectations with team members and stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of system integration capabilities within NetSuite.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for learning new technologies.
  • Technologically adept – able to navigate systems intuitively.
  • Willingness to acquire new skills and systems knowledge, including Coupa, Concur, and Adaptive Planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in addressing challenges.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Experience with data management tools (SQL, XML, JSON).
  • Familiarity with web services (REST, SOAP).
  • Experience in HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SuiteScript 1.0, and SuiteScript 2.0.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement effective solutions utilizing NetSuite's native features, workflows, and SuiteBuilder.
  • Analyze the complexity and scalability of custom solutions and integrations.
  • Enhance your technical and functional knowledge of NetSuite and related SaaS systems.
  • Provide training and support to NetSuite end-users.
  • Ensure the triage queue is consistently managed.
  • Collaborate with developers to create solutions that fulfill business requirements.
  • Lead or assist in projects aimed at improving existing systems or deploying new ones.
  • Participate in user support for incoming requests and troubleshooting.
  • Support fellow administrators with technical and administrative tasks.
  • Assist users in refining their processes related to supported systems.
  • Investigate and resolve integration issues.
  • Support unit testing and user acceptance testing for new releases and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX by accurately documenting system and permission changes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary data.
  • Continuously analyze and assess existing business practices and processes.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding common challenges and issues impacting their work.
  • Maintain current knowledge of NetSuite functionalities, upgrades, customizations, and integrations.
  • Ensure system adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards for customizations and changes.
