Technical Support Engineer for Marine Systems

As a key member of our team, you will provide essential technical guidance in support of naval vessels, including aircraft carriers and submarines. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing the shipboard installation and maintenance of Curtiss Wright products, such as steam turbines, pumps, and electrical generators. Your primary responsibilities will involve engineering oversight for our esteemed clients during the processes of disassembly, inspection, detailed reporting, repairs, reassembly, and testing of complex machinery. The work environment is predominantly industrial, where flexibility in hours and weekend commitments may be required.

Your Responsibilities
- Demonstrate experience with heavy rotating oil-lubricated machinery.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Conduct maintenance and overhaul activities on intricate rotating machinery.
- Possess the ability to read and interpret assembly and machining drawings.
- Utilize tooling, machining, and measurement devices effectively.
- Demonstrate technical troubleshooting skills for complex rotating machinery.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Exhibit basic computer skills, including the ability to create and navigate complex reports in Word and Excel.
- Be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in a related field.
- Must be a US citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining DOD security clearance.
- Experience in a shipboard construction environment is preferred.
- Prior experience with maintenance and overhaul of complex rotating machinery, particularly steam turbines, is advantageous.
Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions comprises three service centers dedicated to supporting the US Navy fleet maintenance market.
